Wooden apples

Made this on the lathe tonight. Bloodwood for the red delicious apple, and yellowheart for the golden delicious apple. Black walnut for the stems. I even reverse chucked these to finish the bottom.

This is my response to Steve Ramsey and Alex Harris's challenge to make something that represents where you live out of wood. I live in Washington, and I have little imagination, so apples, of course!
