I saw that kreg has come out with a more affordable pocket hole machine with a molded plastic base and cast aluminum table. It looks pretty good to me but I worry about the smaller motor and plastic parts, especially the handle. I normally read as many reviews as I can but the tool haven't been released yet. Has anyone seen this or been able to try one out?

I would let it soak in the marketplace for a little while to see the feedback on it...then wait 6 months. It is cute looking but I can wait.

Ditto. I'm looking, but not yet buying. I'm using the foreman at work and in conjunction with the pneumatic clamping table its a pretty powerful and productive weapon. Makes me almost dread going back to hand drilling in the home shop. It would take an awful lot of pocket holes to justify $400.
