First try at a "Tool" Estate Sale!

I recently ran across a CL ad for an estate sale two Saturdays ago featuring "tools". Decided to check it out & be there right at the opening bell, 9:00 am. Arrived to find the place already loaded with people. Oh boy, late for the show. Tje bigger tools had already been scoffed up: hand planes, Bessy clamps, power tools. Next time I'll be an early bird.

Anyway, I started looking & found an item of interest, then another. Small tools, but what I didn't have. Made the circuit & decided to go around again, but CW this time instead of CCW. Things appeared that I didn't catch the first time around.
Ended up spending a grand total of $41 on:
    (3) Water stones - 800 grit, 1200 grit, one unknown grit - each 1" x 2 1/2" x 8" ($10/all)
    (2) Pull saws - unknown make - 7" fine tooth blade/wooden handle - very minor rust that came right off ($5)
    (1) Pullsaw double edge flush cutting trim & detail saw - Sharksaw No.10-2205 ($8) - http://www.amazon.com/Shark-10-2205-.../dp/B000078ONO
    (1) Enderes 4-pc. hardened steel pin punches - 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16" ($4)
    (1) Cabinet scraper set - 3 pieces - Rockler brand ($3) http://www.rockler.com/cabinet-scraper-set
    (1) Irwin brad point 5 pc. drill bit set ($4)- http://www.walmart.com/ip/Irwin-Brad...ll-se/15634635
    (1) Fuller complete countersink/drill bit set ($7) - http://www.jamestowndistributors.com...FQto7AodCWUAkQ

Gotta love those estate sales featuring tools!

Around here, when they have an estate sale, you have to get there early, way before the opening bell. You either sign in or they give you a numbered ticket. Then, at the opening time, the people with the lowest numbers get in - maybe 20 at a time. They don't just open to all because they've found that stuff gets stolen when too many people are in at one time.

They also usually have signs that say "No negotiation on the first day". People who are the pros show up with a flashlight to see in the dark garage and know what to look for. They also bring a bag or box to put stuff in.
