    Morse Taper question

Can anyone tell me what the different sizes are of morse tapers? I was just on Ebay looking for a live center for my brothers lathe, which I thought was #1 MT. Upon browsing Ebay, I noticed an item that was #0 MT, live center for older Craftsman lathes. Now I'm confused, I thought for sure that on wood lathes there were only two different sizes...#1 & #2. I new that on metal work there was a #3. The serial number for his lathe starts with 103.XXXXX, can somebody please clarify this for me, I'm more confused now than ever! Thanks

p.s. Any links to a chart that would have this info would be outstanding! I've done the Google search & didn't come up with what I wanted to know.

Joe, I've worked on engine lathes with # 8MT in the past. I can't help you with your brother's wood lathe, but here is a link to some info on Morse tapers.

Bruce, that web-site you sent me too is great! Lots of good information there. My printer is going nuts right now trying to keep up! Thank you again.
