    Sanding sealer caused Discoloration

I have a problem I hope someone can help me with. I applied sanding sealer on a cherry cradle and where the metal keyhole brackets were (removed prior to sealing), the sealer streaked the wood black! Anyone have a solution on how to remove the black streaks? Or how to prevent them? Thanks...

Make sure it's oxalic acid, two part wood bleaches will take all the color out of the wood. Oxalic acid removes iron stains (black).
