Bosch Corded 3/8" Drill Cord Grommet Question

Does anyone know what the "star-shaped" hole in my Bosch corded 3/8" drill grommet is for? I know the grommet itself protects that cord where it exits the drill, but I'm wondering what that hole thingee is for. See pictures.

It would be for the chuck key. Don't need it with the keyless chuck you show, so they must just use the common part to streamline production. And--if the end user changed chucks, it would be useful.

Usually it is a place to store a chuck key, but the drill you show looks like it has a keyless chuck. Looks like Earl beat me to it.

Huh, I hadn't even thought about that since it is indeed chuckless. Thanks!!

    Not chuckless. Keyless.
