This came from a piece of my neighbors silver maple that was taken down about 3 years ago. I set the half log blank aside and forgot about it before I got around to sealing it and it started to spalt a little. I did lose a little of the length due to end checks so it ended up about 7.50" x 2.50". Finished with Watco Danish oil and 3 wheel buffed. I gave this one to my neighbor as a thank you. C and C welcomed.

Good looking bowl Jim! The zone lines add a little to the maple but that curl really steals the show! Nice work!
