    Epilog Legend 24tt Won't Boot

I was in the middle of a job and my Legend 24TT stopped. The back light is on on the LCD, but nothing is displayed on it. I've tried unplugging it for a while and when turned on all I get is the back light on the LCD, nothing after that.

Any thoughts on how I should proceed before calling Epilog?

Sounds like the mother board. I have the same machine and have installed 2 so far (past 10 years).

Makes sense to me. I opened it up and there are red surface mount LEDs on it that are lit so I don't think it is the power supply.

How much does a motherboard cost?

    Ouch!

Thanks for the info Bruce - very helpful.

I'm always pleasantly surprised how helpful and knowledgable the Creekers are.

    Bruce,

Have you ever looked into getting your tube recharged or replaced? I'm wondering if it's even still possible on these older units?

I'm on my 3rd tube, but (knocking on wood) have the original mother board from 2004. I have no idea what they cost now, but from Epilog the first was on warranty, the second $2,400, then I heard from one of their techs it had dropped to $1,100.

Epilog Legend 24TT 45W, had a sign business for 17 years, now just doing laser work on the side.

Thanks, the local repair guy quoted me $1000.00 for the replacement board so I guess they're still dropping in price. He also quoted me $1300.00 for a replacement rebuilt/refilled 35-watt tube which I thought was a bargain.

So here's what I see on the back side. 48V light (D11) doesn't light up. Possibly power supply issue?
