    makers mark on chisel

P1010702.jpgAttachment 297098 I have this chisel with a faint makers mark. The only word I can make out for sure is "tool". Ii could be "best tool", or "edge tool" followed by some kind of trade mark, I can't make out the top line. Hope this photo shows well enough for someone to ID it. I resized the second photo, and it took. The second pic shows a bit better mark

It may be Canadian Edge Tool Co. Seems I can't load a better pic...

    The attachment has a problem.

    Maybe try again.

P1020064.jpgNot the best pic. I darkened the makers mark with black marker, and then wiped it off. That is when I thought it said Canadian Edge Tool Co. I can't seem to get that photo loaded. Anyway, here is one photo.

On a chisel? I never imbibe in strong drink anywhere near a sharp tool... a beer maybe.

But if one did spill a bit of bourbon on a chisel, just wipe it off.
