I just bought this saw and I have a question.
I saw some videos from David Barrow furniture from UK showing this same saw. He cuts a dovetail very fast (rip cut).
I got mine last weekend and tried it, but it was not fast at all. Is it a breaking period? It is much faster than a cross cut japanese saw, but not like he showed.
I cannot try now, because I work out of town so I have to wait until Saturday to try again.
Could it be he was not cutting maple?
I have a Lie Nilsen dovetail saw, so I know it cuts faster. I don't like the push, I rather have the pull cut.
