    Beech Fern hollow form

Small beech hollow form with ebony finial. Yes I know the finial is ugly. Have turned only a couple finials and need help there. It has been a longtime since I have posted here so it will be interesting to see the reception.

Ron, can't really see any details on the finial because of the color of the background but the color black works well with your pyro design. I do like the leaf design. Nice way for folks to add interest to a non-figured wood. Nice form and I like the way the spalt lines play with the leaves! Thanks for sharing!

The stylized fronds and fern are great on that background which despite its color reminds me of a pond surface. The finial
is hard to see but it's certainly not ugly, probably too detailed and formal for something so natural. I'd like too see a
dragonfly or a simple pine cone shape.

Beautiful form and pyro work. I can't see the finial very well but it appears to be proportionate in height.
