Removing Festool Rotex 150E Motor Housing

    All,

Found an excellent article by Frank Pellow on replacing motor brushes on my non-functioning Rotex. Looked like a simple job. Remove 2 screws at the back of the housing and slide the housing back..... NOT. Anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong? Many thanks in advance. Dave.

I can't say, but I will tell you I sent mine to Festool for brush replacement, as it was as quick as ordering brushes and waiting. When it came back from them, it had a whole new front housing. While they were in there, they replaced all the bearings as well.
