Looking around at a Garage sale, picked up a few old wrenches ( $0.25 each) and heard the seller say he had other stuff on the back porch of the house. Wandered over there....three handsaws, and a meatcutter's saw. Passed on the steak cutter, it had beenspray painted black. One handsaw was a 60s model WS.....not that great. A cheap WS saw was under it....meh...parts? ( it used rivets that LOOKED like bolts) and under that was this rusty thing, for a dollar

Once that screen door had left the shop, I cleaned and polish this old saw back up. Brass was shined, tote cleaned up and coated in BLO
Never found more than a hint( Ghost?) of any etch. Saw barely the top of the scales, about it. Rest was long gone. So, ready to see what a dollar bill gets in these parts?

Lamb's Tongue, and a "7" for 7ppi. Doesn't look like it was ever re-sharpened. Plenty of set, filed crosscut, plate is straight, no missing teeth. Tote had ONE small crack ( closed up after the BLO hit it) Still not sure about that Nib

Not too bad for a $1 saw?
