I think I sent money twice this year although I can't remember for sure. Now that I think about it, it seems I got a private message reminder on the subject. Does anyone typically do that?

I could be wrong but I think the system will send a member an email a few weeks prior to their annual contribution expiration date.

You are correct, SMC does send you a reminder just before one year is up from your last contribution.

Thanks for the confirmation gentlemen. Maybe i will wait until I get a notice. I started being a contributor when I got some really good advice while researching CNC routers and decided somebody needed to be rewarded for providing such a valuable service. I never thought about it as annual dues, though I think that is a very appropriate way to look at it.
