I like your designs and Im sure the workmanship is of a high level. On close inspection I find most new windsors over worked
and too expensive. Would like to see someone allow some flaws, even some tearout ,and produce them as fast as the old
ones were done. Maker and buyer would,I think, benefit.

Modern buyers do not go for the flaws.
They have no concept of the history or production of these chairs. That's just the way it is.
Contemporary woodwork has to be flawless inside and out

You've almost got it to essential elements.
It has subtle flair.

When I make things, I tend to include anything I can think of.

Outstanding work, absolutely fine craftsmanship. Steam bending on those high backs, each of those take a few attempts?

Thanks for the praise and comments guys.

Kyle, i haven't had any issues with bending the continuous arms. I have broken a couple, but i determined it was due to wood degradation. As long as the blank is prepared correctly, carefully following the grain at the three bending points, It's no problem.

Jim, i guess that i have been working toward removing things more than adding them lately. If you notice on the two red chairs, they still have a flat spindle deck. On the others i have removed it and gone to a smooth transition right up to the edge.
