Ah, the fresh smell of a new baby!! There is no aroma like it in the world!! Congratulations!!

My daughter received a play tool kit when she was about 3 or 4 one Christmas. I was in the backyard with my garbage handplane shaving down something or other. I was shocked when she brought her own plastic handplane from her play tool kit to join me. The two didn't look that much alike but I guess she noticed enough to make the connection. I'll never forget that day!

    Congrats! A miracle isn't she?

I'll be thinking happy sleep thoughts for you. We just started sleep training my son (6.5 mo) and my wife and I are finally getting some sleep!

We have been extremely lucky and blessed. For a first baby, the doc said he couldn't have written a more smooth delivery for both momma and baby. Thank you all.

Chris, thanks for sharing your story. I have one similar with my son (from my previous marriage) when he started working a draw knife at age 8 making a walking stick out of bois d'arc.

I have heard a baby is proof God hasn't yet given up on Mankind.
