    Question BenchDog ProLift problem

For those with this lift...having a problem raising the router...I have to lift up on the 7518 router I have in it and turn the lift mechanism to raise it. Lowering is no problem. Has anyone experienced this and if so how did you fix it?
    Thank you in advance

We've had threads on the aluminum casting on our benchdog lift fail twice. The first time they replaced it, the second time we altered the lift so the the spring-loaded brass nut functions as the elevation mechanism rather than the locking mechanism (now locking manually with a knob) . Take your lift apart and see if the aluminum acme threads in the router surround are galled or failed. If they are I would be interested to hear if you get them to replace it.

This is either a design or production failure IMO and quite frustrating.
