    Ornaments and ring stand

I haven't posted anything on the turners forum for a long time, but continue to read a lot of the posts. Our local woodworking guild is donating items to the local AFL-CIO to raise money for their adopt-a-family program. I turned 2 birdhouse ornaments and a ring stand to donate.

Birdhouse ornaments are always fun - and quick - to turn! I like your detail work on the roofs! Hope your donations help to raise a bunch of money!

Nice ornaments. I'm curious about the stands - you made them yourself? Out of what? It looks like the base is 2 pieces welded together?

No, I bought the ornament stands. I turned the maple ring stand in the center of the photo.

Nice ornaments. I like the originality. I'm using a kit pattern for the ones I'm working on now.
