    Smile 12” White Ash bowl

    A recently re-turned White ash bowl, about 12” X 4 1/2”.

It has nice grain and a good looking dark brown pith center, as Steve would say, a good pop corn bowl , well this should be good for a couple of popcorn eaters I’d think

    Any and all comments welcome

Nice grain, nice rim, nice bowl. Looks like a good size for a salad bowl depending on the finish.

Very nice Leo, the only problem with being filled with popcorn is it would hide the nice grain symmetry you have revealed!

I love ash when the grain is balanced. You did that wonderfully here. Nice bowl Leo.

    Leo,
There are lots of well turned bowls out there but when I see one perfectly grain balanced like yours I know it was turned by a discriminating craftsman. The first thing I saw when I looked at your bowl was the perfectly matching heartwood. Sweet job.

Now that's a beauty Leo! The form, the centered grain and the small raised edge on the outside of the rim all work to make this a standout bowl! Thanks for sharing!

Now that is a sweet bowl Leo! The pith sure is in the right place to set it off.
