I'm west of you by a few miles...think Rt 413.

I couldn't have helped you with the Waterlox...I only use shellac and water borne finishes (sprayed)...but would have gladly given some up if I had any! LOL Good move on the cyclone. Dust collection is the most important tool (outside of your brain and a pair of safety glasses) in the shop.

You have similar taste and production scale to me-i try to build a couple of pieces a year as a casual woodworker. This year, I think I will actually get about 4 done. I would rather have a few fantastic pieces than 30 mediocre ones.

    NICE work....Love it!

That is really nice. Already looks like an heirloom antique.

Thank you all for the encouragement. Now I have to put things on hold while I fight through the planning and install of a ClearVue DC. It's taking much longer than expected. But - I have a few more pieces in the planning - starting with purpleheart boxes (with yellowheart inlays). Must.... go.....on....

So I have heard, Jim! On another note, I'd love to see your shop sometime. Let me know if you ever run tours... :-) I can get to 413 in 5 minutes.
I only need a few more tools, really.

Happy to have you stop by for a chat sometime...it's been awhile since there's been a "Creeker visit", as it were...
