    Table leaf ?

Ok so I am venturing into the dining room table project, I have a design in mind and the wood has been purchased (Walnut courtesy of Scott Banbury, great deal) my ? is when adding a leaf in the middle do you make the entire top and then cut the leaf out so it matches the grain or do you make it seperate? This table will probably have the leaf in about 50% of the time.
    Thanks
    Larry

Personally, I like a leaf or three to match the table, so that will need to be taken into consideration when you are laying out boards for the table. It may affect how you orient your glue-up, too.
