Happy Holidays - trying to give a little back

    Happy Holidays all!

Over the past year I have received a great education from this forum. After I built my 80W system I had ideas what I was going to do with it, but reading this group greatly expanded my thinking. As the holidays approach, my sons were asking if I could make something for them to bring into school using the laser. I have seen similar things traipsing around the net, but thought I would try my hand at designing something from the ground up.

The files are designed for 3mm (.118") material. I used MDF for the protos. The boys liked them, especially the hat. I still need to work on getting that joint better - any advice would be appreciated.

I ran one off last night, worked great, looks great. Thank you and have a happy holiday season.

I cut one section off the hat/hinge and it worked great, I used 1/8" Baltic birch measuring .132" or 3.36mm. I did a little sanding on the connection points and used zero glue.
