    Blount lathe

Hello, I am looking at a Blount lathe on eBay. It says it's a V555-112 variable speed. It looks like a beast. Does anyone have any experience with Blount lathes? Would the $500 asking price be reasonable. I don't know how to link the auction here, but it's easy to find if you frequent that site. It'd be about a 7 hour drive. It's a long drive for no handling...

I searched on Ebay, but did not see the one you are interested in. If you do a Google search on blount wood lathe, you will see several forums and groups that talk about them. You may be able to get good information on its value from one of them.

Thank you, I've not been able to find this one online anywhere. It's looks very similar to a PM 90 design but has a gap bed. With no input I may keep saving pennies for a G0733 though.
