    Screech Owl Intarsia

I recently made this Screech Owl Intarsia for a Christmas present. Besides the cutting and shaping, I also did some carving around the face and used a wood burner to create some highlights. The pattern was from Kathy Wise.

I used a variety of woods including Walnut, Wenge, Maple, Ebony, Beech, Sycamore and Yellowheart.

Excellent, Larry. There's lots of careful work there. The carving and woodburning is masterful. It turned out great ! A former boss of mine had an expression like that.

That turned out really nice. I love the detail. What an awesome gift.
