    Steel question

I'm about to order a scrub plane iron from Lee Valley for a wooden scrub I'm building. They list three options: PM-V11, A2 and high carbon steel. Can I assume HCS is similar to O1? I want an O1 blade or its equivalent.

For me personally I would want the pmv 11, the tools I have with this stuff just go on and on...

I have the LV scrub blade in HCS, it's pretty much the same as thier O1 blades, nice stuff.

Another vote here for PM-V11; especially for a scrub plane.

Good Luck with whatever you choose -
