    Couple of New Turnings

    Finished these two turnings up last year but just now posting them. The first is a HF from a piece of walnut that I call "Doppler Effect." The sap wood on the edge and the vertical grain lines made me think about Sheldon's Halloween custom on the Big Bang Theory and my back ground in science made me think it was a natural fit. It is 6 5/8" x 3 3/4". The second and third pictures are a piece of spalted BLM burl. My wife named this one "Lines & Swirls." It is 8 1/4" x 3 1/4". C&C welcomed.

    Hey Steve,

    All three are outstanding, the form on the Walnut HF is simply perfect (not to mention the superb finish) / the 2 natural edge pieces are loaded with character, material like that doesn't just grow on trees!
