Hi Mateo,
Great plane. What do you mean by 8+"?
Cheers,
Rob
8 1/8'' ...but who's counting.
I like the feel of that downward grip in a smoother.
Hi Mateo
Can you say more about this?
If you are pushing down from the rear, how do you push the plane forward?
Regards from Perth
Derek
It is beautiful.
For some reason it reminds me of ironing shirts.

It is a good thing I am not a wealthy person. I would surly be just Plane broke. Well my shirts always have wrinkles anyway. Nice looking plane. My compliments.
Very impressive work. Can I enquire as to how many hours work has gone into making this plane Mateo.

I have to agree with Mateo about his orientation of the handle. As we have been told lately, it is a good idea to have a bench surface on the lower side. Well this makes using the hand planes a bit awkward in their original handle orientation, especially LV planes. I find myself trying to scooch down while planing because I listened to the popular advise of having a low bechtop height.
It seems as though it would not be an issue to push this plane forward with the configuration of the tote. It's not like the handle is sitting directly on top of the plane.
