    Ever seen spalted Huisache?

    I hadn't until I turned this bowl..
Another piece of Huisache from the same slab. let this one sit on the lathe for a while to see if it would split or warp. Got tired of waiting so I turned this bowl.
I'd seen some spalting marks on the outside and was pleased to see them continue inside. Interesting patterns-HSWMBO said it looked like our grandson had at it with a sharpie--not that bad really.
Bowl is 9 x 2.5 inches, finish is poly. Has the soft orange hue and nice patterns that I equate with Huisache.

That's a good looking bowl David! Great looking grain and spalting always adds a little something something - no matter what kind of wood! Nice work!
