Need Help With Pics Disappearing

I just started a thread about Pics of Recent Activity. I attached 2 photos and some description of them. When I posted, there was a "thumbnail" attached so I tried to edit and remove, but the only thing that came close to being able to delete the thumbnail was something with a red octagonal sign that had ABP inside. I clicked to see what happened and my photos disappeared in my post, plus when I go back to my photo file, it won't let me see any of my photos. What can I do to fix my screw-up???

The first two pics you included in the post using the insert image icon, the last one you added as an attachment.
