Are there used CNC places to look other than CL? Just wondering.

One place is the Shopbot Forum
I believe they limit the postings of CNC machines to only Shopbot machines.

I take perfectly good large pieces of stuff & turn them into smaller pieces having dubious value

What size are you looking for. If you want big iron look at IRS auctions or HGR industrial.
I'm looking for an either 2x4 or 4x4 CNC. I have seen via word of mouth my requests for projects pick up dramatically. I've found a niche in wine cabinets and hoping to utilize cnc to increase productivity, milling parts for the cabinets. I'm an IT guy and been using sketchup for a long time, and my primary cutting medium will be wood. I had hoped for a spindle instead of a router based system.
I have considered building one, but hoping that I can find something factory built that might be the same line and have some support.

Used machines tend not to be that cheap. I'd go new.
I would also recommend Cammaster's forums they occasionally have them. Having said that there was a 4x8 PRS ALPHA Shopbot on the Columbus Oh craigslist a few days ago. Don't rule out CL. I bought mine a few months ago, yes it has had its challenges but its still moving forward. In the long run even if I put the best electronics on it I will be 5-10K below the cost of a new one.....
Thanks for all the responses, I've registered at all the sites provided, and I'll keep doing the searchtempest thing! It took a year to get a jewel of a 20" northfield planer for 1500 on CL. I can have some patients.
Thanks again.
I recommend local dealers, cnczone and cl
