Thread: Natural edge square bowl?

    Natural edge square bowl?

I have been asked to do a demo in April for a natural edged square bowl. I have about 3 ideas percolating about a design for the demo, but I thought I would ask the turners here if you have a picture of a

    "natural edged square bowl"

that you have done and can you post a pic of it? It is my belief that a couple of the ideas I have might be what you post [or not! ]

I would really appreciate your sharing with me something you have done that you consider a "natural edged square bowl!" Thanks in advance!

This is what i would think of. Not the best bowl, but what I have:

Here is one, I cut the corners or it would have had a little more edge.IMG_0638.JPGIMG_0636.JPG

This other one is just a rustic looking one. For some reason, I can't get the other pic to upload.

Well, I don't have pictures, but I consider a bowl that is turned from a square or rectangular piece of dimensional hard wood to be 'natural' edged. The edge is interrupted, and the original shape is kept. I have done some that were trapezoidal as well.
