Charlie, I would say you nailed the bird image - good work. On these calabash cup turnings, is there a flat spot on the bottom? The bottom appears to be rounded or profiled some. Just wondering how they are displayed.

the bottom is rounded, coming to a rounded point at the center of the bottom (continous curve).......the bottom is thicker than the sides, which in this case are 1/4 to 3/8........

if you have an uneven top edge, your bottom highpoint will tend to be off center......which is sort of nice also.......I just jam chuck to shape the bottom
