Last Post getting put in middle previous posts showing last.

Why does the "Last Post By" category show who posted last but when you click on the thread then click last page the post is not the last one.
Scrolling page by page I find the most recent post somewhere in the midst and previous posts at the end?

Set your Display to "Linear Mode" (upper right-hand corner).
