A few questions, if you don't mind:
What is the final reduction ratio of the indexer?
Is there a method to keep drive from slipping?
Are you able to use both indexing and turning features?
    Thanks, GC

    Hi Gary,

This is very interesting for me, I have been trying to learn about CNC for wood lathes for a little while now and this seems to be the best solution I've come across for my needs. I would love to discuss the possibility of getting something like this made for my General midi lathe. Thanks again for sharing.

Thanks for the kind words, this has been a fun project. I sold the machine complete, assembled, calibrated and tuned. Includes the lathe, CNC additions, computer and monitor. Training also included. Saves many hours of frustration for the new owner.

I am looking at a smaller version as a possible kit. After this unit ships I am ordering a Jet 1221vs to build it on. Kit will run on Mach, ShopBot, WinCNC or LinuxCNC
Can't wait to see your kit, especially one that runs on a ShopBot!

I have a PM 3520. Would love to have one made for it. Ive been thinking of selling it a buying a hydraulic copy lathe but this would be a better option for me. Something you would be interested in Gary?

We use ArtCAM, need program the total depth and then cutting depth per pass. Not sure about other programs.
