Image coming up all dotty ?

Trying to laser an image ( JPEG image of a tree) onto a piece of wood but it is lase ring all dotty ? Any ideas how I could make this more clearer ? Imported the image from Corel draw to rdworks v8

I always Export as B&W BMP image, no dittering. Corel Draw I have set as Default to RGB and 300 dpi resolution. Or my X6 Version will do an Export DXF or Drawing Exchange File seems to do a better job.
