Cool It's been a highly successful week of purchases

Last weekend I came across a CL ad where a guy was selling off his father-in-law's woodworking collection as his health has gone down hill. I'm pretty sure he had been doing it since the 60's because some of the stuff that he had there was really old. I've made 2 trips to buy things and I'm sure I'll go back and find more stuff to get as he clears more space and comes across new stuff, but so far, this is what I've purchased and have spent a grand total of $1050.

    Tools
    ------
    Maped Compass

    (2) Misc Clamps
    (2) Hand Planes
    Dial Indicator w/ Magnetic Base

    (2) Magnetic base work lights
    Pair of small plate casters
    Incra Right Angle Fixture
40 pc. Tap and Die Set
    DIY Clamp Kit

    Machines
    ----------
    Ryobi Scroll Saw
Klein Design Mini Lathe w/ Diamic turning tools + more

Wood (Board Feet) - All the wood in the picture on the lumber cart that I just built to store it all
    ------
    Maple (Hard) - 12.5
    Maple (Curly) - 14
    Maple (Birdseye) - 14.7
    Maple (Burl Block) - 14.1
    Black Walnut - 37.3
    Brazilian Rosewood - 2.1
    Purpleheart - 9.6
    Cherry - 18.3
    Koa - 5.1

    Honduras Mahogany - 5.6
    Chakte Kok - 6.7

Stack of wood that is still unidentified
Misc pieces of 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood

    Other
    ------
Boxes of old woodworking books including Fine Woodworking magazines from the 80's/90's/00's

I'm extremely lucky to have come across this as it was such a killer deal. While trying to price out the wood, I'm sitting at about $3000 worth of lumber, not including the stack of unidentified wood.

Also, the week prior, I had a couple other scores:
    Bessey Clamps ($350)
    (11) 50" K-Body Clamps (KR3.550)
    (3) 40" K-Body Clamps (KR3.540)

Grizzly 1182 with mobile base ($175)

Now to further organize everything and figure out what I'm going to build with it all! The wood is going to last me a long time and shouldn't need to be purchasing any for a while. I've also never used a lathe but really wanted to, so the mini lathe will be perfect to learn on. Feel free to tell me how much you hate me.

Man, I must have missed that CL post for the wood. I need to stock back up on Walnut again. I'm getting low. I haven't seen hardly any on CL lately, either.

Any figured walnut you're willing to give up? I'm down in Seattle.

Man, I wish I had seen that ad - and had the spare cash to buy stuff. You definitely scored.

Walnut is my favorite non-exotic wood, so I'm probably holding on to all of that, glad I have a good supply now. I will potentially sell of some of the exotics as I'm just getting back into woodworking, although I may store some of it for later use once I get comfortable cutting into an expensive chunk of wood.

I was surprised that there weren't many people going after the wood. I know that there were a few people that picked up some pieces here and there before I got there, but the bulk of it was there. There's still plenty there, but I snagged up most of the exotics, walnut and maple. I would still give it a look if I were you as you may find some very nice pieces.

Link to the ad? I'm not sure what it's listed under but I didn't see it when I looked this morning.
