C12RSH Hitachi Saw- not square out of the box

I just got my new saw home and before setting it up in place I checked it for square. I could get it square on the vertical cut but the sliding portion is off by 1 degree. Is there a way to adjust this? I took a look online and searched but did not find anything

Since it uses positive stops I am a bit concerned that it may just be the way it is. Thanks

You adjust the fence, the screw holes are oversized. This should be covered in the manual.

Make sure your test workpiece's edge that is against the fence is perfectly straight, otherwise the cuts may appear "off."

It looks like it was a problem with the castings. I couldn't get the fence rails parallel and perpendicular to the base plate. Will have to try a different one and report back!
