Thread: Extension cord for 3hp 13amp 240v motor?

    Well, I was able to find a brand new 10/3 extension cord, 100' long, on the local equivalent to Craigslist. Bought it this evening for $90. I'll lop the ends off and use it. Until I have a need to cut it shorter, I'll keep it long in order to preserve my future options.

    +1 on this. Change both ends to match 240v and don't look back. I've a 50 foot 12g I've used for years. No problem.
