I purchased two raised garden beds last year. I coated with this Cedar Garden Bed Oil, from Gronomics, and like it. It is food safe on contact, according to the label. I use a old tee-shirt to apply a thin coat, let dry overnight and repeat. The finish leaves a richer color on the cedar and a slight pleasing sheen. It smells good too, kind of like that goo gone orange-like smell. I was wondering how it compares to the General Finishes Outdoor oil? Also, does anyone have any clues what is actually in there? They are very secretive.
It is kind of pricey for a quart, the Generals is a tad lower in cost. Also, it is best to finish at least once a season, if not twice a year.
