    Do you ever wonder....

I was reading a post from someone this morning about shops. It was interesting so I looked to see what else he had to say about things and found that his posts just stopped in 2006. So I started to wonder, what happened to him?

When someone that posts frequently just stops, was it because he was offended? I doubt it. More of a philosophical question I suppose, but do you ever wonder what happened?

Might have had a life change (divorce?) or a hobby change or, unfortunately, might not still be among the living. Lots of reasons people stop posting.

I think it's kinda like the old movie theater " this is where I came in" thing. Unless you find the personalities interesting and are open to new fine points, forums can be like Readers Digest.....every issue has Ten Ways To Improve Your Mairrage ....same stuff in different order.

In my case I was wondering what happened to Frank Pellow. Posted quite frequently until 2006, then nothing.

is it possible that they may have passed away? I remember him also but seem to recall he had been sick possibly.

I dropped out of sight for several years on SMC because my job responsibilities got too intense to do almost anything else. I am now retired.

I was intensely involved in freshwater fishkeeping and was an active member on 5-6 sites for years(15 years or more) but lost interest and stopped posting on any of them within a very short time .
I wonder if getting offended is a valid enough reason to stop posting completely.
