    Let me know what you think of my bed design.

    Here is my Daughter's headboard. This is my first project I have done without plan's to go off of. Any thoughts would be great. All solid qswo.

    It looks very nice to me. Are you going to do something to cover the dowels/screws on the top cap?

    Yes I am going to put walnut plugs in them. I have to round over all the edges on the top and rout the slots for the rail conectors and finish.
    This is two years in the making and I can see the finish line. The foot board is the same only 36'' tall instead of 48''.

    Nice! Consider using a shallow M&T joint with traditional bed bolts for putting it together with the rails. Kids can be hard on beds and most metal rail connectors wobble to start with. Bed bolts are much sturdier to begin and easy to tighten up as needed.
