    Cherry Burl Hollow form

    First try at a burl hollow form. 12" tall x 9" dia. C & C welcome

  2. That is a burl, and it is certainly hollow! Super nice for your first hollow form, Joe, and to get a fine burl like that is just icing on the cake! I would say that you are off to the races! The open void would give a lot of turners with more experience than you, a bit of "pucker factor," so it seems you managed that piece pretty well!

    Outstanding piece of burl and you did a very fine turning job. It's a keeper for sure.
