    curley and Birdseye maple

I realize this may be off topic but I am hoping our friends along the East shores of Canada may be able to help. I am in need of a large quantity(3-5000 bd. ft.) of curley and birdseye maple. Can anyone give me the names of some mills that many carry it realizing I may have to go to 6-10 mills?

Brad Forstner at Folly Mountain Hardwoods can probably supply that quanity of Curly woods, he has some birdseye but buying birdseye around here has to be a hands on experience. It varies in quality from mill to mill and log to log and for the most part it depends on what you want to pay. Personally I buy what would be referred to as instrument grade from one of two suppliers and pretty much buy all they have as I am stock piling the stuff. You can speak with Brad at 902-662-2174, he has his own lot, mill and kiln, small operation but pretty good stuff.
