I recently purchased a PM 1200 and a few weeks ago posted on the Creek about installing it vertically on the wall, rather than from a ceiling (due to space of my micro-shop, 12x24, and low 8' ceilings). Powermatic doesn't mention if its possible to do this in their manual, so I looked at its cheaper, and perhaps wiser cousin, the Jet 1000b. The Jet does show it can be vertically hung in the manual and even supplies the hardware to do it. After carefully determining that the Powermatic and Jet share the exact same enclosure, I purchased the necessary angle brackets from Jet. Sure enough, it worked just as well on the Powermatic as it does on the Jet. It's at such an angle that I can easily walk below it (I'm 6') and its using up space I would otherwise not use.

I had to leave off the Powermatic's grills, but I'll find a way to attach those at a later date (when I get the courage to cut the grills to fit over the brackets). I still have to place the cord out of the way.
