Smile Acer Negundo or Manitoba Maple AKA Box Elder ;-^))

At 10” it’s just a small bowl of Manitoba Maple as we call it here, has sat I think about 9 years and now got finish turned and finished with my usual Polymerized Tung oil.

It has never been my most favorite wood, but it turns and finishes just fine, stinks a bit when wet and never is very great looking but a good user bowl wood.

The red colored ones are/can be the exception for a short time, this one isn’t red and so not an exception in that regard, it is made from a crotch so has at least some good looking grain in it

    Any and all comments welcome

I really like the shape of that bowl Leo. The bottom and rim are both a big plus in my eye.

Thank you Sid , One thing I consider important is the shape Sid, When all the nice flashy grains and colors are subdued, it is the shape that keeps on showing

I like the rim as well. A nice looking bowl, Leo.
