    2K Primer - Recommendations?

I'm building some bookshelf speakers out of MDF and I'd like to finish with a high gloss. From what I've read, I'd be well off with a 2K primer (probably a high build urethane).

Does anyone know where I can purchase small quantities (pint/quart) of decent 2k primer? I've seen the Eastwood Aerosol cans (expensive), but since I have a cheap Rockler HVLP system, I'd like to try it out.

    Any suggestions?

MDF is - - when you get right down to it - - -paper.

The best primer to use on MDF (paper) is a thin solvent based material. Waterborne or water based primers can have adverse effects on MDF. Fuzziness, swelling and/or separation of the material.

Go to Lowes or Home Depot and pick up a rattle spray can of B*I*N primer and a can of Rustoleum gloss finish.
