    A few other recent turnings…

    As my grandson has grown from a baby to a "little boy", I have started making some toys for him. This top was one of the first things I made for him.

    My son thought it might be a bit to "over the top" for everyday play so I made a simpler one…

    I have been learning how to hand chase threads because I want to make him a kaleidoscope with interchangeable object boxes and a telescope, both of which will require threaded parts. this little "box" was the first "successful attempt.

    Very Nice David! Those are all great pieces and I`m sure your grandson will get hours and hours of fun out of those tops! Your "amphora" series is Stunning!

    Wonderful turnings David. That is one lucky grandson! The Amphora turnings are nothing short of sublime. The delicacy and use of color are inspiring.
