    Another box

I made this walnut keepsake box for my great-granddaughter who was born last October.
My intent was to have the grain pattern wrap up the front, across the top, and continue down the back. And, also, incorporate the sides to match. I think I did it.
Can't really tell if she's happy with it but, my granddaughter (her mother) was tickled. That's what it is all about for me.

Very nice, Roger. You've really nailed it with the grain. Are all the edges mitred ? Did you make the box closed, then cut apart the top and base ?

Yes, the sides and top were mitered with a hardboard bottom set in a slot. Then sawed the top off. That was the only idea I could come up with to keep the grain continuous. Thank you for your words.

Love it. Grain management is stellar.
