    Couple of walnut pieces

    Thought I'd share a couple photos, as I haven't done so before on this site. These were just snapped sitting on the table at the market this morning. I love the beautiful designs walnut produces in the sapwood/heartwood transitions, and of course the crotches.

    Nice work. Really like the colors in the grain. Is the one from a crotch piece?

    Yes, Thomas. A crotch hunk with really unique coloration.
