    July Santa

    Hi Everyone
Here are a couple of pictures of a Santa I just finished, he is carved from yellow cedar, stands seven inches tall, painted with acrylics, sealed with gloss water based varnish, except the the beard which is painted with a chalky finish acrylic paint to get a more natural looking hair

Nice. I wish I had the skills to carve anything. That's one of those things I think you need to be artistic to do. I have trouble drawing stick figures.

    Hi Jebediah
All drawings start with stick figures,I start all my figures first by drawing a stick figure on the block of wood where I want to make my shapes. Do give up trying.
